Spectrum News Interviews Dr. Tannan on Increased Demand in "Zoom Surgery"
Female board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Tannan was recently interviewed by Spectrum News to discuss the increased demand in “Zoom Surgery.” Amanda Rose, a journalist with Spectrum News, visited Dr. Shruti Tannan at the offices of Tannan Plastic Surgery in Brier Creek, Raleigh.
What is the Zoom Surgery phenomenon, you might ask? Well, the demand for cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures has increased significantly since the start of the pandemic. Women and men are spending hours a day on video calls for work or with their friends and family. Naturally, more screen time increases awareness of their appearance and what they would like to improve with their faces and bodies.
Increased Demand in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Procedures
Not surprisingly, facial cosmetic procedures like Facelift / Necklift, Brow Lift, Rhinoplasty (Nose Job), and Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) are more popular than ever before. Non-invasive treatments of the face and neck involving botulinum toxins (e.g. Botox and Newtox), hyaluronic acid fillers (e.g. Juvederm and Restylane), and skin care products (e.g. ZO Skin Health) are seeing a big spike in interest as well.
It’s not just facial procedures that have caused this “Zoom effect.” People are more interested than ever in some of the other most popular plastic surgery procedures — like Breast Augmentation, Tummy Tuck and Liposuction. Working from home allows you to get the procedure you’ve always wanted while making recovery and downtime much easier.
Dr. Tannan shared in the Spectrum News interview: “The transformations that we get to be a part of, get to witness, they are life changing, they are inspiring, they are incredibly fulfilling.” At Tannan Plastic Surgery, we take great pride in helping patients gain confidence and feel like their best true selves. We are privileged to have people drive from all over to see us as they look for the best board-certified female plastic surgeon for them.
While we take care of local folks looking for plastic surgery in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, and the RTP area, we also take care of patients interested in plastic surgery in Wilmington, Greenville, Fayetteville, Raeford, Garner, Knightdale, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Mocksville, Myrtle Beach, Danville, Roanoke, and surrounding areas in neighboring states in the Southeast.
