Love, Light and Family This Holiday Season
My baby boy, Kai, was born on Halloween. ???
He came in over 9 pounds, ready to eat and grow, and play and eat some more. I’m so thankful to the great doctors, nurses and support staff at UNC Rex Hospital and Mid-Carolina Obstetrics & Gynecology. Collectively, they made the pregnancy, birthing and postpartum process as smooth as it could be. As I reflect on this beautiful experience over the Thanksgiving holiday season, I can’t help but be filled to the brim with gratitude and love.
A big reason for that? Family. While we were at the hospital in labor, my family came to our aid. They visited us at the hospital with home-cooked food and lots of love. They also kept my five year old daughter Laxmi safe and secure in her daily kindergarten routine at Brier Creek Elementary School (#WeAreBrierCreek!). As important as it was to have parents and siblings with us, we appreciated everything the good folks from Rex, Mid-Carolina and BCES did for us as well. They became a part of our extended family.
A Culture of Family is Crucial
This is the culture we have instilled in Tannan Plastic Surgery and Diehl Plastic Surgery. It is from this place of “family” that we speak with our patients during consultation, pre-operative visits and post-operative checkups. I strive to be the best plastic surgeon you could ask for, a plastic surgeon you can trust. But above and beyond that, our goal is to be your extended family throughout the care process.
We also work with you on a recovery plan after your plastic surgery. Who is in your support circle? Whether it is a breast reduction or a facelift, a tummy tuck or mommy makeover with liposuction, help is crucial! Having the best plastic surgeon is only part of the equation. Family and friends get you on your feet quicker and offer to give you a ride. They plan out meals so you aren’t worried about what to eat for lunch. These loved ones help you with the less glamorous side as well, like going to the bathroom or changing clothes in the early stages of recovery.
Finding the Best Plastic Surgeon for You
When asked what is different about your experience at Tannan Plastic Surgery, it is simple. I know what recovery is like as a mother, a wife, and a professional. Our team relates to your experience in a way that is like reaching across the table and saying, “I see you. I hear you. I feel what you are feeling.” As you decide on the best plastic surgeon for you, think about how important family is in achieving the best result. We will be there every step of the way as your extended family to help you meet your plastic and cosmetic surgery goals.
At Tannan Plastic Surgery, we are grateful to be a part of so many families here in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and greater Triangle NC region. Wishing everyone a very happy holiday season filled with love, light and family!
